Vita

Cristina Pennarola is Associate professor of English Language and Linguistics in the Department of Political Science at the University of Napoli Federico II. She is a Member of the Doctoral Board “Mind, Gender and Language” at the University of Napoli Federico II, stemming from the PhD programme in English for Special Purposes coordinated by Gabriella Di Martino. Some of her recent research articles explore academic discourse and social issues.

Cristina particularly likes the interdisciplinary focus of her teaching and research favoured by the cross-curricular exchange among colleagues and students enrolled on different degree courses (e.g., international relations, business management, public administration). Her research interests include specialized English and well-being, digital literacies, institutional discourses and theolinguistics. She considers herself privileged to continue her learning and self-development as a tenured faculty member at the University of Napoli Federico II.
